Under the Big Top

Tonight we attended the first ever circus to come to our small town. The stop was arranged by our city's booster club and the circus tent was set up right in the park. It was a circus of days past...a small, more intimate way to enjoy the freakishness that a circus can offer. We even toyed with the idea of paying the dollar to see "The Strangest Thing Ever", but passed on the opportunity. Part of me still wonders what it was - why is that? Most of the grade school children had been over earlier in the day to meet and greet the talent and of course the animals - a tiger, a lion, two elephants and a newborn lion that was three weeks old. The drive home was amazing too - a total of one minute! It was a huge success so hopefully this will become a yearly tradition.

A little cotton candy for the boys...

and for the girls...

Okay, just one more bite

Conner, Phil the Alien and Aidan

Aidan riding the elephant - really surprised he did this because he wanted nothing to do with the ponies.

A little face paint for Quinn, Tory and Katy
(this totally means I will not get Quinn near a bath tonight)
