Note: Barbie prefers lettuce on her eyes as opposed to cucumbers
I debated whether or not to share my NYE activities or not after reading about fellow bloggers and their festivities, but decided as lame as they may be... they were mine and I own them!
So... we started the evening out with a facial and weave for Barbie and Hannah Montana (they didn't have plans either). The girls looked great and were very patient during the beautifying process. Quinn came up with this all on her own which always amazes me- so creative! How she knew to have little foils in the hair I will never know. Followed up by a fashion show featuring Quinn's dear rabbit, Chloe. Quinn thought she needed a hat and oddly enough I think the rabbit likes it. There were holes cut into a doll hat and voila! we no longer had just an ordinary bunny! Thom got off of work and came home by 11pm with some peach champagne which was very yummy. We ignited one leftover firework from July and welcomed in the new year! Welcome 2008!
FLASHBACK... Some of my fondest memories of new year's eve as a kid were spending it bowling with my mom, dad and sisters and brothers. Even as my siblings got older and moved out of the house the tradition remained for quite some time. I really enjoyed it! The other would have to be spending new year's eve at my childhood friend, Luke's house. He used to have several of us over to play cards and games - stupid stuff like who could hold the spoon on their nose the longest! Then at midnight we would all take our socks off and run outside barefoot in the snow screaming... it was the best! Ahhhh to be a kid again...
